Recommended Roof Box For 2010 Toyota Sienna With Factory Roof Rack

Question:

I have a 2010 Toyota Sienna with factory crossbars. Im looking for a low profile roof box that I can secure a full size spare tire into. I know nothing about the various brands. Can you recommend a couple for me to look at that have a way for me to secure a tire inside and also have rear hatch fully open? I dont see a way to filter on interior anchor points. Thanks much.

We have a couple roof boxes that will fit the factory crossbars you have on your 2010 Sienna.

I recommend the Thule Motion XT, part # TH629706. This is a 16 cu ft roof box. This box measures 77-inches long x 36-inches wide x 17-inches tall.

We also have the Thule Motion XT XL, part # TH629806. This is an 18 cu ft box and it measures 84-1/2 inches long x 36-inches wide x 17-inches tall.

For rear hatch clearance you can take a quick measurement from the center of the front crossbar rearward to the seam between the roof and rear hatch. That is the front clearance measurement that allows the hatch to be fully opened with a roof box installed. For the # TH6297B the front clearance is 47-1/2 inches and for part # TH6298B that distance is 51-1/4 inches.
