Will Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller 90885 Plug In in Place of Pilot Brake Controller
Question:
I am wanting to switch to a new brake controller. I currently have a timed based controller Pilot 2-6 Brake Electronic Brake Controller - Time Delayed-#80550 but do not like it and would like a Proportional controller. I do not want to have to rewire my vehicle 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan, I just want to unplug the old and plug in the new. If I purchase the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional Item # 90885, would i need the extra wiring harness? TrailerMate Universal Wiring Harness for Trailer Brake Controllers - 12inch Long Pigtai TM75127?? OR will the Tekonsha plug right into where the old one was? Thanks.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Pilot # 80550 and Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller Proportional # 90885 brake controllers use the same wiring harness so all you will have to do is unplug the old controller and plug in the new one, go through the set up process, and you'll be good to go!
