Troubleshooting Installation Of Brake Controller And Plug-In Adapter On 2015 Ford F-150

Question:

after installing your p2 in my 2015 f150 and pluging it in with your adapter my trk said service required on abs,i had no power steering check engine light came on I then unplugged the unit and restarted truck everything was back to normal what do I do now thanks

I was unable to find you in our system. I wanted to make sure the plug-in adapter you installed on your 2015 F-150 was part # 22292.

I called my contact at Tekonsha and they said they have not heard of the issue you had when you installed the P2. They did say that you should make sure you do not have the key in the on position or engine running when installing as that may cause a surge. they said with everything off you should try plugging it in again to see if the same problem happens.

If you are still having issues let me know what plug-in adapter you are using and I will see if we can do some further troubleshooting.
