American Made Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation with Great Jaw Design
Question:
Which jaw configuration is considered stronger/better or are they about the same. My 5th wheel weighs about 12,600 dry weight. Also, changing my slider hitch for a non-slider since I have an 8ft box now. I tow with a 1 ton dullay. 2005 Chevy Crew Cab. Get some knocking front to back sometimes with the slider. I also have a Moore ride pin box on my 5th wheel. What hitch would you recommend. Think I have RP30035 rails with a RP30051 slider 5th wheel hitch. Also, is there any advantage to buying the higher 20,000 over the 16,000. Are all of your hitches made in the US. If not, which ones are. Thank you,

Not all fifth wheel jaws are created equal. Some are designed to be lower priced but they will allow quite a bit more noise and "chucking", others are much nicer and will provide a much smoother ride quality. You should note that slider hitches in general have more moving parts so they make more noise/have more movement. Just going to a stationary hitch will make an improvement.
For an American made fifth wheel hitch with an excellent jaw design we have the B and W Patriot # BWRVK3200 which will work very well for you. The jaw design is designed to provide 360 degrees of contact for a smoother ride quality.
This would fit in universal rail kit part # RP30035 that you have.
