Base Plate Kit Recommendation for 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
Im looking at purchasing a new 2017 grand cherokee and want to tow. I currently have the roadmaster set up on my 2015 jeep patriot. can I use this equipment on the new grand cherokee and are the brackets that fit the frame available for the new vehicle?

You will have to install a new base plate kit on your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee as the kit you have installed on your 2015 Jeep Patriot would not fit your new Jeep. For that you would need the # RM-521440-4. Aside from that the rest of your flat towing setup would work just fine.
