Recommended 5,200 Pound Axle-Less System for 62 Silverstreak Trailer
Question:
I purchased some electric brake assembies from you ABK12EA for a 62 Silverstreak trailer. The brakes wont fit because the axel is round with a 1/4inch plate welded to the top and bottom. Do you have brake that will fit? If not, do you recommend an axle-less system? 5000 lb axles.

I do have a solution for you, however when looking at the image you provided of your axle, it does not appear that any of our available brake assemblies will fit around the referenced plates that are welded to the top and bottom of the axle.
If you are interested in going to an axle-less system, I recommend the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension # ASR5200S01. This unit with brake flanges will replace your existing axle and operate independently for a safe and smooth ride when pulling your trailer. This system has a 5,200 pound weight capacity and a 5 bolt brake flange configuration. I have attached a video demonstration of this product for you to check out.
Then for hub drums you will use the Dexter # 8-201-5UC3-EZ, which will fit the 5,200 pound Timbren unit and has a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern.
For electric drum brake assemblies you will use # AKEBRK-7R-SA for the right hand and # AKEBRK-7L-SA for the left hand.
