Question:

At this time, the only under-bed hitch mounting option available for the 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty Short Bed, is to add a gooseneck hitch and use a compatible 5th wheel hitch or a 5th-wheel-to-gooseneck adapter.
I highly recommend looking into the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1116 because you can use the B&W Companion Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch, # BWRVK3400. This hitch has a shank that inserts into the gooseneck hitch and provides a full 5th wheel hitch for your trailer. Most 5th wheel to gooseneck adapters will actually void the trailer's warranty, but the Companion is unique and it is actually classified as a 5th wheel hitch due to its design.
I have attached a review video of this hitch for you to check out.
If you want to add an in-bed wiring harness for an easy electrical connection, I recommend the Curt 5th Wheel Harness, # C57010. I have attached an installation video of this harness for you to check out as well.
