Reese Fifth Wheel Hitch Rail Kit Recommendation for 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 Short Bed

i am buying a 2017 GMC 2500 HD and need new Reese bed rails, which ones should i buy.

We have two custom fith fifth wheel rail kits that fit your 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 without the factory rail kit. We have the easier to install yet slightly larger rail kit part # RP56001-53 and the slightly smaller but more involved install kit part # RP50066-58. Either will work well, but if it were me I would prefer the easier install and go with the # RP56001-53.

The reason this kit is easier to install is that the brackets mount on the outsides of the truck frame and not the insides.
