Will 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Adaptor CAB-C5G Help With Trailer Lurching and Bouncing

Question:

Please explain how the nylon collar may help. Can it eliminate the forward bounce or rythmic lurching I feel at any slight dip or rise of the highway. I currently use a standard gooseneck adaptor without any cushions. I will gladly spend the money to replace it with your product if I was sure of a smoother ride. Thanks in advance for any help.

The Convert-A-Ball fifth-wheel to gooseneck adapter # CAB-C5G should help with the bouncing and lurching you have been feeling, as the cushioning inside the adapter will soften the back and forth and up and down motions at the point where the trailer is connected to the vehicle. Movement would limited to a maximum of 3/4 of an inch, smoothing your ride considerably. You would also notice a difference in the severity of the hard jerks and loud clangs you get when pulling forward or stopping.

To determine which adapter you need for your particular setup, pull the truck under the trailer and measure from the top of the gooseneck ball in the bed to the base of the pin box on the trailer. Once you have this measurement, you can choose the adapter height that is closest.
