Do Slide In Bed Liners have to Be Trimmed to Install Demco or Other Underbed Style Fifth Wheels

Question:

Hello Does the high ridge type of bed liner pose a problem for under bed rail systems? photo attached Specifically, are the ridges too high to allow the hitch pins to connect properly. For example, connecting the Demco DM8550032 pins into the DM8551001 tabs, or for Reese Adapter RP30156 to secure into the under bed pucks of the RP30064? Thanks.

With slide in bed liners like what you mentioned you have to cut out a section of it for fitting a fifth wheel rail in the bed of the truck. Regardless of the rail style used a decent sized section of the bed liner would have to be cut out.

Hitches like the Demco # DM8550032 will basically sit right on the truck bed and the bed liner would get in the way.
