Installing Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System On 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sahara
Question:
I have a 2015 jeep wrangler sahara. Power outlet in consol have power without key and it has no sterling wheel lock so it can be towed without key in place. My question is if I connect the brake relay red power wire to a fuse that is only hot with key on as in instruction video it will them require me to use key and have it turned on for even brake to work at least that how I understand it. Can I not connect the red wire to a fuse with power at all times and have it function without the key on. Do you know of any problems this would cause. Thanks

When installing the Even Brake, part # RM-9400 on your 2015 Wrangler Sahara, you are required to use the 12V outlet kit, part # RM-9332.
If you look at page 6 of the installation instructions for the Even Brake system you will see how the # RM-9332 is used. The part # RM-9332, is designed to be wired directly to a battery and then has a 5 foot range of wire. Basically, as long as its run to a battery you can run it anywhere in a 5 foot range of that battery.
