Will Lowering Nose of Fifth Wheel Trailer to Level it Cause Truck to Squat

Question:

Currently when hooked up the trailer is not level, it is low in the rear and high at the hitch connection. If I lower the hitch down to make it closer to level will this cause the truck to squat even more? Or will it take weight off and eliminate the squating

Helpful Expert Reply:

There would not be a significant enough change in pin weight when lowering the nose of your trailer level to cause the suspension to squat more.

You really want the trailer sitting as level as possible to prevent any ride issues and/or tire wear issues.
