It includes the hitch ball and shank and uses steel-on-steel friction to prevent sway. If you ever need to move up or down in weight for other trailers, you can simply get the right size spring bars and utilize this same system. It is a low maintenence system that requires only one bolt in each trunnion to be greased. With a weight distribution system you will need to want to find the total tongue weight need. This will include the loaded tongue weight of your trailer along with any cargo weight behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle.
