Question:

I have a fixed Reese 15K hitch right now that was in my Toyota Tundra. I now have a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 5 1/2 foot bed. My trailer is a 28foot Outback 5th wheel with a Lippert 1621 pin box. What rail kit and bracket kit and sidewinder do I need to tow my trailer. Thanks

The fifth wheel installation kit I recommend for your 2015 Ram 1500 is the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit, part # RP50142-58. Installation of this kit takes half the time of a semi-custom kit like part # RP30035-386.

For a premium Sidewinder that will work on your trailer I recommend the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin, part # RP61422. This pin box has an enclosed air spring that reduces vertical shock and chucking and vibration.

For a more economical option I recommend the Reese Sidewinder, part # RP34FR.

Both of these pin boxes move the pivot point rearward an extra 22-inches so you can execute those sharp turns.

If you need a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck for your trailer I recommend part # 41157.
