Are Rubber Adjusters Needed On The Glacier V-Bar Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners # PWH2821SC
Question:
Hello, I ordered item # PWH2821SC from you. The directions enclosed say I need Pewag#99 rubber adjusters, but the directions on the bag in which the chains were shipped says nothing about these adusters. Do I need them? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
The Glacier Rubber Adjusters for Snow Chains, part # PW99, are recommended for use with snow chains that DO NOT include other tensioning devices. The rubber adjusters are attached to the side of the snow chains to keep tension on the snow chains.
The Glacier V-Bar Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners, part # PWH2821SC, has cam tighteners that will keep tension on the snow chains. You will not need the rubber adjusters on these snow chains. The directions are general instructions that are put with all of the snow chains, so that is why your enclosed instructions might say to use rubber adjusters.
