How to Power Rear Lights on Tow Dolly and Towed Jeep Cherokee Behind RV w/ 7-Way Connector

Question:

I am looking for a light adapter/splitter. The back of my RV has a 7 pole plug for trailer usage. But my dolly is a 4 flat for the dolly lights. I see that I can buy a 7pole to 4flat adapter, but I would like to put lights on the rear of the car being towed on the dolly, so I would need a second 4flat connector from the RV. I see I can get the above 7 to 4 adapter and then a splitter from the 4 to make two 4s. But there has got to be a more clean way than an adapter to a splitter. I saw tthere is a 7pole to 4flat or 5flat. Anyway, no such adapter that goes 7pole to dual 4flat??

I do have a solution for you, however there is not an adapter available that is able to convert your RV's 7 pole plug into two 4-way flat connections.

The easiest way to power both the dolly and towed Jeep's rear lights behind your RV is to use the Hopkins Adapter 7-Pole to 4-Pole and 5-Pole # 37385. You will connect this to the 7-way connector on your RV and will be able to use both the provided connectors to send power to your dolly and towed Jeep's rear lights at the same time. The second 4-flat can just plug into the avaialble 5-flat and it will work great, you will just have one of the pins exposed on the 5-flat.

I have included a video review of this product for you to check out.
