20 or 30 Amp Breaker When Installing Brake Controller Install Kit ETBC7
Question:
The instructions for this kit indicate that either the 20A or 30A breaker should be used, depending on instructions for the brake controller being used. The Tekonsha P3 instructions are silent on this point which breaker should I be using with it?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The breaker you should use depends on the amount of braking axles your trailer has. If it's up to two axles (4 total assemblies), then use the 20 amp breaker. If it's more than that use the 30 amp.
