Andersen Ultimate Hitch and Safety Chain Connections in 2017 Ford F-250
Question:
I am receiving a2017 F250 4x2 and I am considering using an Andersen Ultimate Hitch. The prep kit has not been installed, but is likely to be the Ford Fifth Wheel Hitch/Goose Neck prep kit. I would like to use Safety Chains. While there is some discussion about their requirement, I just do not want to be hassled and I am a cautious individual. The measurements look like the hitch may cover all or part of the puck used to attach the chains to the truck. · Can I utilize a puck mounted safety chain attachment point? · Are there any advantages to the Curt or Reese gooseneck kits as it relates to this problem? Thank you,

Andersen does have a safety chain kit for their Ultimate setup. For that you would want the part # RM3230. The Andersen Ultimate # AM3225 would cover up the pucks of the factory rail kit of a 2017 Ford F-250 though.
For a hitch a much better solution would be the B and W Hitch part # BWGNRK1116.
