Which MightyMounts and Roof Mount Ski Racks Fit a 2003 Mazda Protege5 with Factory Cross Bars

I just picked up an old yakima ski/snowboard roof rack and it looks like using a vertical mighty mounts will attach them to my 2003, mazda protege5 factory crossbars. But which vertical mighty mounts will fit those crossbars?

For your 2003 Mazda Protege5 and the factory cross bars, the Yakima MightyMounts you will need are the Universal MightyMounts, # Y03590. Many of the Yakima snow-sport racks are a direct fit for your Protege. According to Yakima, the following racks should fit right out of the box.

FreshSesh, # Y03079 (no longer available, but if this is the used one you purchased it should fit)
FatCat 4, # Y03077 (no longer available, but if this is the used one you purchased it should fit)
FatCat6, # Y03078 (no longer available, but if this is the used one you purchased it should fit)
Big PowderHound, # Y03082 (no longer available, but if this is the used one you purchased it should fit)
FatCat EVO 6, # Y03096

These will fit provided that they still have all the mounting hardware that originally came with them. These racks all have universal mounting hardware but are not MightyMount compatible. However, if the used rack you purchased is a Big PowderHound SE, PowderHound SE, LiftTicket 4, or LiftTicket 6, any of those are MightyMount compatible.
