Question:
Are the AKHD-555-35-EZ-K hubs designed for wheels that are hub or lug centric? Are the studs capable of supporting the rated weight of the hub without any support on the center of the wheel?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-555-35-EZ-K that you referenced is designed for use with wheels that are lug centric since it comes with studs mounted to it and lug nuts that are cone shaped. Hub centric setup use wheel bolts that thread into the hub after passing through the wheel.
The entire weight of the wheel would be on the studs and not through the pilot diameter of the wheel.
