Recommended Rail Kit to Move the Demco Hijacker from 2008 Ford F-350 to 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500

We purchased your DEMCO Highjacker Autoslide fifth wheel hitch #DM8550022 6077 and 6004. We put this hitch in our 2008 Ford F-350 short bed. Now we sold that truck and purchased a 2016 Cheverolet 2500 with a 6/12foot bed. Do we need a conversion kit to make it fit?

The only thing that you will need to change to be able to use the Demco Hijacker 18K # DM8550022 on your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 is a new underbed rail and installation kit.

Since the chassis on a 2008 Ford F-350 and a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 are different, you will need to use a different installation kit. The kit that you will need to use for your Silverado is part # DM8551010.

I also recommend installing a 5th wheel and gooseneck wiring harness. Curt has a 7-Pole Harness, part # C56000, which will plug directly into your 7-Way harness at the back of your Silverado. I have included a video that has this exact part being installed on a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500.
