We have a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 short bed and are needing a hitch kit to fit with our Reese 16k hitch. Which is best for us to use?

For your 2012 Dodge Ram Pickup 2500 with a 6 foot bed, I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit, part # RP50140-58. This will work great as long as your Reese 16K 5th Wheel is not the Elite or Signature Series. This is a custom kit designed specifically for your vehicle, which will minimize drilling and measuring necessary for installation. If your Reese 16K is the Elite or Signature Series model, you will need the special underbed Reese Kit, part # RP30074 for your 2012 Ram.

I also recommend a 5th Wheel Wiring Harness like the Bargman # 50-97-410. This will provide a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck for easy hookup with your trailer.
