Before we can decided on a weight distribution hitch that can mount to the frame of your trailer and not interfere with your propane tanks, we need to know what the total tongue weight of your towing rig.

The total tongue weight will be your fully loaded ready to tow trailer, plus any cargo you may stow in the rear of your 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 behind the rear axle. I have linked an article that will show you how to find the total tongue weight of your towing rig. You can also use # e99044 tongue weight scale to help find your total tongue weight.

Now, once you have your total tongue weight you can use this information to decided on the correct weight distribution system for your towing application. As an example, if your tongue weight is 800 lbs and your gross trailer weight (GTW) is rated between 8,000 to 10,000 lbs, then the Reese Steadi-Flex System, # RP66559, would be a perfect option for you. You will have to confirm if the tongue weight range will fit you application before purchase of this model.

The Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution system's spring bar brackets can be installed on the frame of your trailer between 27 -32 inches from the trailer center of the trailer coupler. The Steadi-Flex will give you enough clearance to install on your trailer and not interfere with your tanks.

Remember the above system is an example. You will need to find your total tongue weight first to decide on which Reese Steadi-Flex system will work for you.

I have include links to videos on the Reese Steadi-Flex and a few articles on weight distribution for you to review.
