Can Wire for Brake Controller Kit ETBC7 Be Run on Interior of Vehicle

Question:

2011 Toyota Highlander V6 AWD with Tow Package The installation video shows the 10-gauge 2-wire cable being routed to the engine compartment along the underside of the car. My question is, is it safe to run the cable along the inside of the car instead? I have already determined that the 2-wire cable can be run from the rear access compartment drivers side to the underside of the dash drivers side using the same cable trough as that used for the existing car wires/cables. Yes, it is a little more work, but the benefit is that the cable is much less likely to be damaged by heat from the car or by other external sources.

Running the 10 gauge wire to install the brake controller in your 2011 Toyota Highlander on the interior of the vehicle would be just fine. Most people run the wires on the exterior but having them on interior is perfectly fine as well.

The only issue sometimes is when you have to find where you want the wire to enter and exit the vehicle. But normally grommets can be found pretty easily.
