Platform Bike Rack that Will Clear the Rear Mounted Spare Tire on a Toyota FJ Cruiser

Question:

I have a Toyota FJ. I need a clearance of 10inch from the hitch pin hole to the back of my mounted spare tire. Ive looked at the Kuat Sherpa, but I believe from looking on your site, I would only get 9inch of clearance. What other platform bike racks would you recommend of that caliber that could get me 10inch of clearance? Weight is a concern due to a bad back. I liked the Sherpa because its high quality and weighs roughly 32 lbs. Any other suggestions? Thanks

The Kuat Sherpa 2.0 such as # SH22P actually measures 11 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to nearest rail (where the first bike will sit). But when folded it is 7-1/2 inches.

The Saris Freedom SuperClamp # SA4025 is 12 inches from the pin hole to the first set of wheel cradles. And it weighs just 30 pounds. But it does not fold. I have linked a video review of this rack for you.

The Saris Freedom # SA4412B also measures 12 inches from the pin hole to nearest wheel cradle. This rack weighs just 22-1/2 pounds. This one also does not fold. I have linked a video of it as well.

The Curt Platform Rack # C18085 may be an option if you like the style. It measures 12-1/2 inches from the pin hole to the nearest wheel hoop. It weighs about 46 pounds.
