Types of Gooseneck Hitch Installations in 2016 Ford F-250 SD Pickup With & Without Factory Prep Kit

I am interested in buying a BandW Ball Hitch. One of the questions it asks if the Ford has a rail kit. How do you tell if the vehicle came with one or not?

A gooseneck ball hitch like the B&W # BWGNRK1111 fits Ford Super Duty pickups without a Factory Rail Kit, meaning a plain truck bed without any sort of hitch attachment points. If you had a truck with a factory rail kit there would be three holes in the bed; a center hole for a gooseneck ball and two flanking holes for safety chain tie-downs. For such a truck you would use a kit like # RP30137. For an in-bed wiring harness for your truck you could use # C56000.
