Can Gooseneck to Fifth Wheel Adapter CAB-C5G be Used on Truck Bed that is 54 inches from Ball to Cab
Question:
Flat bed truck 54inch to back of cab. Trailer 84 wide. Straight or offset adaptor? Thanks

There is a formula used for determining clearance that will help you know if you need an offset or not:
Measure the distance from the center of the gooseneck ball to the back of the truck cab. Call this measurement A. Next, measure the width of the trailer overhang and divide by 2 to get half, measurement B. If A is 4 inches or more than B then you can safely make 90 degree turns.
So in your case A is 54, B is 42 which means you would have 12 inches of clearance as-is to make tight turns so you would not need an offset adapter. The part # cab-c5g would work well.
