Is Drilling Into Frame Required During Installation of Curt Q24 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch
Question:
The description for the Curt Q24 for my 2016 chevy 3500 dually says it requires drilling into the frame, yet one of your videos shows no drilling required except through the bed. Can you please clarify? Thanks.

Expert Reply:
I spoke with our contact at Curt and he informed me that for the Curt Q24 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16245, along with the custom installation Rail Kit # C16411-204, no frame drilling is required during installation on your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The brackets will simply mount to existing holes in your vehicle's frame. I have included a video demonstration of this product for your review.
I also recommend a 5th Wheel Wiring Harness like the Curt # C56000. This will provide a 7-way connector in your truck bed for quick and easy hookup with your 5th Wheel Trailer.
