Tire Chain Compatibility on P305/45/22 Tires on 2004 Infiniti QX56

Question:

I have a low profile tire with 305/45/22 measurement. Do you have chains that fit this configuration without rubbing on the rims which are chrome? I drive a 2004 Infiniti QX56 SUV. Thanks.

We do have tire chains that will fit your tire size P305/45/22, shown on the linked page, but since this large tire is not a stock size offered by Infiniti you will want to check your owner's manual for any guidance or restrictions regarding chain use. Note that none of the chains for your tire size offer rim protection.

Some cars can use only special S-Class low-profile type chains; others can use chains only on one axle or the other; and some cars can use tire chains only when a specific tire size is installed on the vehicle. Check your manual to be sure chains are usable on your car as it is configured.

I found and reviewed an online edition of your manual and on page 8-35 it notes that S-Class chains may be used on the factory-installed tires and on the rear wheels only. If your manual does not provide the information needed check with your local dealership. Your larger tire size may not allow enough clearance within the wheel wells.
