Right Signal on Trailer When Either Signal is Activated
Question:
I have a 2014 Chrysler 300 S. I bought a Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector from etrailer. The tail lights and brake lights work as they should. The hazards work as they should. However, activating either turn signal on the stalk produces a right turn signal on the trailer. The installation seemed very straight forward. Im not really sure what could be screwed up here.

Sounds like somewhere on trailer the left and right turn circuits are shorting out to each other. Most likely this is on the trailer side, but you can use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test both turn signal pins to verify that either carries the right voltage when applied like the video I attached.
