Locating Brake Controller Port Under Dash of 2007 Toyota Tundra w/ Factory 7-way
Question:
I bought a used 07 Toyota Tundra, it has a 7 way wiring in the rear next to the hitch but I dont see the connection needed under the dash next to the steering column. Can I send you a photo of it and see if you can tell me what connection I need? Thanks.

I contacted our representative at Tekonsha and he informed me that the plug should be located under the dash to the left of the brake pedal or behind the kick panel. The plug will more than likely be tucked up behind wires behind the kick panel (see video link at :35 second mark).
If the 7-way on your 2007 Toyota Tundra is factory, then you will be able to install your brake controller using the wiring adapter, Tekonsha Wire Replacement, part # 3040-P.
The item you selected, Tekonsha Prodigy Proportional Brake Controller # 90885 and the Toyota and Lexus Adapter, # 3040-P, will work on your 2007 Toyota Tundra.
I have linked a video installation of the Tekonsha Prodigy Proportional Brake Controller # 90885 and the Toyota and Lexus Adapter,# 3040-P, on a 2008 Toyota Sequoia which should be similar to install on your 2007 Tundra.
