The best way to select a weight distribution/sway control (WD/SC) system for a travel trailer like your 2017 Heritage Glen 311QB is to fully load the trailer with all gear and supplies in place (and full propane and water tanks), just as they will be when you head out on the road, and to measure that actual loaded trailer tongue weight (TW). We offer a scale # e99044 but other methods are outlined in the linked article.

To that measured TW you need to add the weight of anything in the truck that will sit behind the rear axle, such as a loaded cooler or generator. The weight of objects behind the tow vehicle rear axle will act just like trailer TW and this needs to be accounted for. The ideal situation is that your total TW figure will fall right near the middle of the operating range for the system.

Based on your dry hitch weight of 936-lbs, your fully-loaded TW is likely to be about 1300-1400-lbs. In this case a system like the Curt TruTrack # C17501 is a great option. This system costs less than some competing products and its spring bar brackets are smaller than most, meaning that they will be easier to position and install on the trailer frame.

This system is all-inclusive; it has a shank and a 2-5/16-inch hitch ball included.
