Mounting the Erickson Vertical E-Track to the Side Wall of an Enclosed Trailer

Question:

How does the vertical e-track mount to the side wall of an enclosed trailer? Is it bolted through the side wall to the outside, or screwed into the sidewall posts, behind the thin plyboard? Does the e-track come with necessary mounting hardware? I have a 7x14 thrifty hauler. Thanks.

When mounting vertical e-track, like # E19146, the type of hardware used will depend on what the material of the surface is made of that you are mounting the e-track on.

If you are mounting tracks on a standard plywood surface then you could you 1/4 inch wood screws. However, if the surface you're working with is sheet metal, then you would need to use a fastener that is rated for use on metal surfaces.

The e-tracks do not come with hardware because of the different possibilities of surfaces that the tracks could be mounted on and the different types of mounting hardware available.

We recommend that, once you know what you are going to mount the track on, you should visit a hardware store to purchase the correct hardware you will need.
