Tool Box Recommendation for 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 for Use with Yakima Ladder Rack

Question:

I have an 04 Dodge 1500, and the outdoorsman 300 rack. Im trying to find a tool box for the bed that I can mount up by the cab like a traditional bed box, but be able to keep the yakima rack installed. Ive seen the boxes that dont sit on the bed rails, but not sure if they will work.

You would want to use a chest style tool box like the DeeZee part # DZ8546 which is a confirmed fit for your 2004 Dodge Ram and fits between the bed rails without needing clearance above them. This will work well with the Yakima Ladder rack you have.
