How to Test Wiring on a 2003 Ram Pickup That is Hauling a Trailer
Question:
I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500. I was told that the relays in IPM Fusebox are Bad . Common Issue apparently. Anyway because of this ,I have issues with my trailer Lights. I have the factory Brake controller also the factory 7 wire Tow plug at the rear bumper. Is there a light converter /module that will fix my issue . My trailers have electric brakes so it is imperative they also work. Thanks

There is no converter/module to fix your issue that we carry, but I can provide you with a list of parts that will allow you to completely bypass the tow package on your 2003 Dodge Ram. To bypass the tow package you will need to start with the Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness # C55504. This will give you a 4-Way connection for the tail light functions at the back of your Ram.
To replace the 7-Way, you can use the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 which will plug into the 4-Way that I just mentioned and includes the wiring you will need for all 7 connections.
If you are also having a problem with your brake controller, then I recommend hardwiring an aftermarket brake controller like the Prodigy P2, # 90885, to the installation kit, # ETBC7.
