I have a 2002 Ford Ranger standard cab. How does the roof mount cross bar attach inside the cab. I would like to carry a kayak on the top of my vehicle as I have a folding cover on the truck bed. Thanks

The roof rack bar in the Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier # DTA944-968-924 secures to the roof using a strap that runs through the interior of the vehicle.
