Higher-Rated Replacement Spring Bars for Pro Series Weight Distribution System PS49901
Question:
I have a Pro Series 49901 round bar weight distribution hitch. Im purchasing a new trailer that has a hitch weight of 550 pounds. It appears that the 49901 is somewhat inadequate. Can I purchase new bars that would be rated higher, or should I purchase either a 49902 or a 49903? If I have to purchase a new hitch, can I just use the bars with my existing 49901 components?

With the Pro Series Weight Distribution System # PS49901 the round spring bars, which are rated for up to 550-lbs of trailer tongue weight (TW), can be swapped out for higher-rated spring bars. No other parts of the system need to be changed, just the bars.
Use bar set # PS58440 for a trailer TW up to 750-lbs. Use part # PS58441 for TW up to 1000-lbs.
