Recommended Hitch Mounted Platform Bike Rack For 2016 Jeep JK With 35 Inch Rear Spare Tire

Swagman XTC-2 2-Bike Platform Rack for 1-1/4inch and 2inch Trailer Hitches I want to purchase this carrier but have a few questions since I have a 2016 jeep jk with 35 inch rear tire. I have a man and womens beach cruiser and want to make sure it will all fit. I have 12 inches from center of pin to outside of rear tire

The Swagman XTC-2 2 Bike Platform Rack # S64670, has a measurement of 15 inches from the hitch pin hole to the upright bar that is between the two bikes of this rack. Unfortunately, this will not give you enough clearance for your bike to clear the rear tire.

I recommend the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting, # S64683 for your application. This rack is very similar but will give you a distance of 12-1/2 inches from the center of pin to the closest part of the rack when folded down. That will give you 1/2 inch clearance at its closest point. This will also carry two bikes up to 45 lbs each versus 35 lbs each which is more likely to fit your beach cruisers.
