Recommended Fifth Wheel Slider To Work With 2011 Ram 2500 With B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch
Question:
I have a 2011 Ram 2500 shotbed with a BandW Tunover ball hitch installed already. Can I use a Curt X5 adapter part # 16310 with a Demco Hijacker Autoslide 18K fifth wheel hitch part # Dm8550034? I read where I cannot use a Curt X5 with a autoslide hitch, is that true and why?

The Demco Autoslide, part # DM8550034 cannot be used with any adapter that fits in a gooseneck ball hole, because the base plates have to be securely bolted to the truck.
The Curt X5, part # 16310 attaches to the B&W gooseneck hitch and provides bed rails but cannot be used with the Demco slider. I do have a solution for you though.
I recommend the B&W Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter, part # BWRVK3400. Since you have the Turnoverball gooseneck hitch already installed in your truck bed, this hitch will fit right in and give you 12-inches of front to back travel so you can make those short turns.
