Will the P2 Brake Controller Drain the Battery on a 2013 Nissan Frontier
Question:
I purchase the harness and controller from E trailer and installed the unit with the Nissan factory cable interface. The brake controller appears to have power on all the time even with ignition switch off. Is this how it is suppose to work and if so how much current does it draw? Will it drain my battery down?

Brake controllers do have power all the time. If they didn't you would have to set it up every time you went to tow. Brake controllers like the P2 # 90885 go into a power saving mode after about 15 minutes of inactivity. When in this mode they only draw a few milliamps of power. It would take months of the 2013 Nissan Frontier just sitting for that to drain the battery so no worries!
