what wattage of light would this be compared to a halogen?

There isn't an exact comparison but generally it would take a 420 watt halogen light to achieve the same 4,500 lumens produced by Tow-Rax Recessed LED Light # TWSPRLB2L. A standard 50 watt halogen light produces around 400 to 600 lumens. In all likelihood though it would probably take less than 420 watts to produce the same amount of lumens; that is just the high end.
