I think I have a solution to your ride issue on your 2015 Dodge Durango. Unfortunately, looking a the measurements of the pictures that you sent you will not have enough room to install a weight distribution system on the tongue of your trailer even if you try to use a pole tongue adapter.

Since you've been worried about the excessive bounce you were experiencing when towing your trailer last year, installing a suspension enhancement system on your Durango will improve the ride and stability when in tow.

The Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs # AL60824 is an air spring system that will provide your vehicle with up to 1,000 lbs of load leveling support. These helper springs are air adjustable and will level out your vehicle and trailer. These spring will help relieve stress on the OEM suspension when under heavy tow loads.

The air bags will install on the inside of you vehicle's rear coil spring suspension. These bags are manually adjusted by inflating air to help off-set the stress of your trailer's load on you Durango's suspension.

Installing the Air Lift Helper Springs will be an economical solution to your issue rather than replacing your trailer tongue or using a different trailer.
