So, further on my question above. With the minimum 5lbs air pressure in the air bags, what change will there be in the unloaded everyday rear ride height of the truck?t

No, the Air Lift LoadLifter Air Springs, # AL88204, will not impact the everyday ride height of your 2016 GMC Sierra 1500. The Air Lift air bags, as explained previously, do need at least 5 lbs of air to maintain the shape and prevent any damage to the spring.

These air bags springs are designed to be a suspension enhancement for your vehicle. The springs will only come in use when there is a load on the rear suspension of the truck. The minimum 5 lbs of air will not be enough air in the system to cause any significant change in the ride height of your vehicle. These springs will not impact the non-towing daily use of you truck.
