Trouble Adding Air To Firestone Coil-Rite System On 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe
Question:
Hello. I recently purchased Firestone coil rite air helper springs for my 2009 Santa Fe. I cannot check the psi on them or add air. When the mechanic installed them he was able to fill them, becausethey are currently full, but when I go to check them I cannot get the psi gauge to engage on the valve. Ive tried psi gauges on air pumps at gas stations as well. Any thoughts?

When the Coil-Rite springs are installed, an air line should have been added and run to the rear of your Santa Fe so you can add or remove air as needed. The valve is a standard air valve similar to a valve stem on a tire so it should accept any standard air fill fitting from a compressor.
If you cannot get them to work send me a photo or two and I may be able to see what the issue is. Or you could return to the folks who installed the system and have them explains how to add or remove air from the system.
I have attached a link to an installation video and at about the ten minute fifty second mark you can see how air is being added to the system.
