Is Mounting Hardware for Reese Sidewinder Included
Question:
Hi, how many attachment bolts are included with the Reese Sidewinder? The existing king pin It is a Lippert 1716 from the dimensions on our 2005 Montana 2980RL has 6 bolts and washers on each side. From the videos I have watched during the installation process, it appears only 4 bolts and washers on each side are used. Please clarify. I am assuming it should mount to the fifth wheel with the same amount of hardware. Is the hardware re-used or new mounting hardware is required.

Sidewinders like the part # RP61412 that you referenced do not come with new bolts for attaching the Sidewinder to the trailer frame. You will have to provide that. Reese recommends you go with the same Grade bolts or higher and use the same amount of bolts that came off the trailer. You would not use the same bolts that came off the old pin box.
