Recommended Bike Rack to Use While Towing a Camper on a 2013 Ford F-150

Question:

I am towing my camper with my 2013 F-150 using the Curt D210. I use the accessory receiver to attach a 4 bike rack. This set up works fine for towing, but the annoying part is I cannot attach or remove the camper without removing the bike rack first. The attachment point of the bike rack prevents the trailer coupler lock from moving to or staying in the open position. The Swagman rack looks like it might work with my Curt D210 because the attachment point angles upward which might provide enough clearance, but I dont know for certain. Would anyone at eTrailer know if it would work. I am also open to other suggestions. Thanks!

I have a solution for a bike rack that you can use with your Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210 on your 2013 Ford F-150.

We do have a few different bike rack that have a rise in the shank that you are looking for. I test fit 2 different bike racks with the same setup that you would have on a trailer that has a latch that, when in the upright or unlock position, was 4-1/2 inches in high. The Swagman Titan # S63410 that you referenced did not have enough clearance to allow the 4-1/2 latch to completely open up.

I tested the same system with the Swagman XP # S64960, and found that the 4-1/2 inch latch was able to almost stand in a complete upright position. If your coupler lock allows the hitch ball to be removed before the lock is in an upright position, this bike rack will work really well for what you are needing it for.

If you will be carrying alternative, women's, or kid's style bikes, I recommend using the Swagman Deluxe Bike Adapter Bar # 64005. For added security and to help deter theft, I recommend using the Swagman Locking Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin # S64029.

I have included demonstration videos for you as well.
