Recommended Jounce Springs For 2013 Ford F-250 SRW 2 Wheel Drive

Question:

we only tow a 5th wheel with a tongue weight around 2,800 lbs. The Timbrens carry more but, is that extra capacity needed or would be realized? Which would work best? The Timbrens either the 250SDG or 350SDF or the Super Springs SSR-114-54? What advantage is the jounce feature? 2013 F250 SRW, 2 wheel drive

For your 2013 Ford F-250 Super Duty, I recommned the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle, # SSR-114-54. These jounce spring replace your factory jounce which is there to basically protect your truck from completely bottoming out. The replacement jounces will engage the jounces when under load and the jounce springs are made to compress progressively for lighter loads and then heavier loads by as much as 80 percent. They engage independently to keep your vehicle level even with off-center loads and reduce body roll during sharp turns. These springs are to be used with your factory suspension to enhance it, not to replace it or give it a higher load capacity.

The Timbren jounce springs are great, but the # TFR250SDG are going to be really stiff for you load. They are meant to support really well and they do an excellent job at that, but if you hit a big bump, you will feel a more rigid kick from the Timbren springs when they engage. They are not as progressive, but are stronger.
