In order to add a functioning third brake light to your 2015 Jeep Cherokee while it is being flat towed behind an RV you can either have an external one or use the one that is already at the top of the Jeep hatch.
In either case the first thing you will need is converter # 118158. On the input side the green wire will connect to the combined right turn/brake light wire from the tow bar wiring and yellow is for combined left turn and brake light. White is ground. On the output side you will have a red wire that will be brake light only. The other wires you can tape up and stow out of the way.
That red wire can then be connected to the third brake light. If you use the one in the Jeep then you will also need a diode # RM-790. The red wire will go to one of the inputs, the other input is for the factory power wire to the third brake light. And the output side will go to the third brake light. This prevents power back feeding.
Alternatively you would so the same thing with an externally mounted light.
If you want to have turn signals as well then you can't use the brake light in the Jeep. Instead you would need to use a light such as # W54209-007 for the driver's side and # W54209-021 for the passenger's side.
The red wire from that converter would still go to the red wires from these lights. The green wire from the output side of the converter would go to green on the passenger's side light and yellow from the converter would go to the yellow on the driver's side light. White is ground. Brown will not be needed. The only issue is that you would need to figure out a way to mount these lights to the Jeep. They do not have magnetic bases.
