Recommended Fan-Powered Transmission Cooler For 2003 Toyota Sequoia

Thank you for the reply! The product you specified was the one I was considering. Would you recommend a temperature sensitive bypass in line to allow the fluid to reach operating temperature sooner? We have winter temperatures that hover in 10 to 20 degrees f. Really appreciate you taking time to reply. I will be buying it in a few weeks, can't wait to put it to work!

The transmission cooler kit I recommend for your 2003 Sequoia is the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Cooler kit, part # D15960.

This kit includes the hardware to connect the cooler and the mounting hardware. This cooler is a stacked-plate cooler with a 500-CFM fan to make sure your transmission fluid stays as cool as possible. The great thing is this is a remote mount kit that can be mounted anywhere you have room under the hood. The cooler measures 13-inches wide x 10-inches tall x 5-5/8-inches deep. I am glad you are happy with the cooler recommendation. Since you said the temperature hovers between 10 and 20 degrees, a fluid control thermostat kit would be a great idea. The kit I recommend is part # D15719. With the internal thermostat, the fluid will pass through the thermostat and bypass the transmission cooler until it reaches 180 degrees and then opens up so the fluid can pass through the cooler. I also recommend part # D25793. This is a mounting bracket that helps secure the thermostat. And if you find you need to add additional hose for the thermostat you can use part # D15799. This hose is 25-ft long and has a 1/2-inch inside diameter.
