Can a Backup Camera Be Wired So that It can Come On At Any Time
Question:
Do you have a backup camera that stays on in DRIVING as well, so you can always see behind? Also a bigger viewing screen than just a small portion of a rear view mirror display that only comes on in reverse?

In order to wire a backup camera to be on all of the time, you would have to wire it into the running light circuit instead of the reverse light circuit. This way, when you wanted it on, you would just turn the running lights on. This would be the easiest way to turn it off and on.
For a camera the Hopkins part # HM60195VA would be a great choice. This will give you a monitor size larger than most rear view mirror cameras as well.
